Katayef Dough

Katayef Dough

2 c flour

1 c smeed

1 tsp bk powder

1 tsp yeast

1 tsp sugar

pinch bk soda, pinch salt

2.5 c warm water

mahlep 2-3 balls pounded (optional)

mix in a blender, and allow to rise till it reaches the top. Blend back to original amount

Syrup

1-2 cardamom pods

1 stick cinnamon
